Tatiana Moreira de Souza
UCL Architecture 2011-2014
Tatiana is a MPhil/PhD candidate in Planning at the University College London. Her main research interests are in housing and regeneration, focusing on social and ethnic integration at a neighbourhood level. In her thesis she examines the regeneration of housing estates that were predominantly composed of social renters and that, after regeneration, received an influx of owner-occupiers. Her focus is on the interaction between residents on different tenures and her research will attempt to understand the context and nature of contacts people on different tenures establish, taking into consideration class, cultural, religious and racial differences.
Prior to starting her postgraduate research, Tatiana obtained a MSc in Urban Regeneration from University College London and a BA in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, in which she developed academic research with sponsorship from the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and a final project in urban sustainability and regeneration.
